40K Tournament Guidelines
Purpose
The purpose of Fire and Sword Game Center's 40K tournaments is to satisfy the need for our more competitive players. Our vision is to offer a highly competitive environment where sportsmanship is valued above simple wins. Our ultimate goal is to assemble a team of qualified, good mannered players who would represent the shop FSGC in major tournaments and conventions under a sponsor program from us.

There are two types of W40K tournaments provided by FSGC on a regular basis.

Ladder Ranking System
As mentioned in the Ladder Ranking System (LR), all Warhammer 40k tournaments will be running under the FSGC Ladder system. This will help us to establish an effective system both in game match ups and tie breaks. The Ladder will be the main measurement used by us when selecting possible candidates to represent the shop in other non FSGC events.

Any special characters, amendments, clarifications published in WDs (players are required to bring their own copies of WDs during the tournament)
Scenario pattern Gamma – Omega – Gamma will be the standard for all 3 round formats and Gamma – Omega – Gamma – Gamma will be the standard for all 4 round formats.
Players play their games according to the 40K rulebook (terrains, deployments, strategy rating, etc.) with all 5 standard missions available. Each game lasts 6 full turns unless time is called at the end of the match round. The TO will warn players when there are 30 and 15 minutes left in a round respectably. When the final time is called, the current player may finish his/her phase then count off the victory points (VP). If in battle phase, the player must finish the current combat with no further pursuit movement or further unfinished combats. The player then turn in an accurately TTS to the TO and wait for the next round’s match up.
Note on Forge World’s Models
As a general rule in the tournament circuits, these models can be used to represent existing models that are supported by normal codices. Any players who wish to use these models as per Forge World’s published must bring printed copies of the rules prior to the event and get consensus from all players to use them.
